It was the Golden Anniversary of the Cadillac Automobile Company (formed in 1902) and the Eldorado name was derived from El Dorado, the famed Spanish lost city of gold.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThis car had many advance design characteristics which would later appear on Cadillac production cars and on those of other manufacturers as well.
